This week marked significant progress in developing the JP-Perez Real Estate Onboarding Program. I successfully drafted a comprehensive Statement of Work (SOW) that clearly outlines the project scope, deliverables, and expectations. The SOW establishes a solid foundation for the onboarding program, ensuring alignment between my instructional design approach and the client's business objectives.
A key accomplishment was refining the project scope to include five core training modules, with particular attention given to the newly added Fair Housing Regulations component. I worked closely with the client to identify precise learning objectives for each module, ensuring the program will effectively integrate new hires into company culture while providing practical skills training. The deliverables now include interactive animated content, microlearning videos, and competency assessments - all tailored to the real estate industry's unique requirements.
I made strategic decisions about the instructional methodology, opting for scenario-based learning and branded visuals to maximize engagement and knowledge retention. The selected tools - including Adobe Captivate for authoring and Canva for design - were carefully chosen to balance professional output with efficient development timelines. A detailed project timeline was established with clear milestones, including a two-day extension to accommodate the fair housing content updates without additional budget impact.
Through collaborative discussions with the client, I clearly defined roles and responsibilities, ensuring smooth workflow and accountability. The client has expressed satisfaction with the SOW's thoroughness and its reflection of their organizational needs. This approved document now serves as our guiding framework as we move into the active development phase, with all parties aligned on expectations and deliverables for this critical onboarding initiative.
The completed SOW represents a major step forward in the project's progression. It not only formalizes our agreement but also demonstrates my ability to translate client needs into a structured, actionable instructional design plan. With this foundation in place, I am now positioned to begin content development with confidence in our shared vision for the program's success.
